Frequently Asked Questions
The Forging a Future Full of Hope Campaign

How much time do I have to pay my pledge?

While the Campaign would benefit greatly by payment of your tax-deductible gift in a lump sum, major gifts are payable over a three to five-year period.

What methods of payment are you accepting?

Check, cash, credit card, and appreciated stock are acceptable. If you are considering a gift of real estate, the Development Office can help you evaluate that option.

Can I designate a particular campaign fund for my gift?

Yes! If you would like to designate your contribution to, for example, Lighting the Fire, which helps fund the cost of the forty-plus Jesuits in training, simply indicate on your campaign letter of intent form where your gift should go.

How will my gift to the missions be spent?

Your gift will go into the Fr. Eugene J. Hebert, S.J. Fund for International Missions. Five percent of the earnings of the fund, created to memorialize the Province's only martyred Jesuit, are used to help cover the rising costs of health care, travel, and retirement associated with Jesuits serving abroad.

Does the Campaign have naming opportunities for major donors?

Yes it does! The naming opportunity chart, as well as a description of the gift-level designations, is contained in "Guiding Your Gift to the Southern Jesuit Campaign for Hope and Renewal."

If I make a major gift, do I receive some sort of memento of the campaign?

Donors with gifts of $25,000 or more will receive a limited edition, individualized 11"x17" memento appropriate for desk or wall mountinig.

How do I maximize my gift?

Check with your employer. Many employers have philanthropic programs in place that can enable you to double or even triple your gift.

When do you need my decision?

If you are not prepared to make a commitment today, the Campaign suggest that its momentum would be best served by your decision within two weeks.
