Ways Your Gift Helps

Your Gift at Work Building New Ministries for the Future

Every day, the world is changing around us. Since the Jesuits are dedicated to serving the poor and those who are often excluded from mainstream society, new ministries are frequently needed.

Your support has been crucial to the current success of new programs like:

Café Reconcile

Café Reconcile is a non-profit project of Reconcile New Orleans and the St. John Francis Regis Hospitality School, a program founded by Fr. Harry Tompson, S.J., and Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church. The school provides at-risk teens and young adults with the skills they need to succeed in jobs in the hospitality industry. Students learn the rudiments of the restaurant business from mopping to maitre d'.   Visit their website.

The Good Shepherd School

A tuition-free school providing Catholic educational excellence for inner city "at-Risk" children which is sponsored and supported by the Immaculate Conception Jesuit Parish, located in downtown New Orleans. The Good Shepherd Nativity Mission School, Inc. seeks to help low-income, urban youth, in order to realize their fullest potential as productive members of society, by providing them with an extended day, year-round, quality education, integrated with personal, moral and spiritual development and continued guidance during the student’s further education.    Visit their website.
